Over the last 12 months there have been several new products launched under the O’Kane brand, these products cover a wide range of ideas, from raw and breaded chicken to cooked chicken and turkey.

O’Kane Poultry currently supplies several major supermarket chains, and other small multiples under the O’Kane label. Recent development can be broken down into the following categories:-

BBQ Range

This included:-

• Fresh breast fillets marinaded in a Hot & Sweet, "Bush BBQ" sauce.
• Fresh, skin on part boned breasts, available in 2’s and 4’s and in a choice of two flavours, Hot & Spicy and BBQ.
• Fresh, skin on, single joint chicken wings, marinaded in a choice of two flavours, Hot & Spicy and Chinese.

Breaded Range

This included:-

• Special Southern Fried, thigh, drumstick and breast portions.
• Special Southern Fried breast quarters x 2.
• Breaded chicken grills x 4, in a crispy, crunchy breadcrumb coating.
• Battered chicken bites x 10, boneless chicken breast, shaped and coated in a light crispy batter.

Cooked Range

This included:-

• Cooked, chicken prime inner fillets, in a Mediterranean style marinade.
• Chargrill chicken, whole cooked chicken.
• Cooked, hot & spicy flavoured, skin on thighs and drumsticks, available in 2 sizes.
• Cooked, honeyroast, skin on thighs and drumsticks, available in 2 sizes.

Turkey

This included:-

• Fully deboned, skin on turkey, available in 2 sizes.
• Skin on turkey crown, stuffed with pork, sage and onion stuffing, available in 2 sizes.

In addition to the above, the Development team are looking towards lipsealing the entire O’Kane catalogue and updating the current labelling, to improve product life, safety, consumer appeal and convenience.
